Buying balloons one at a time
Single balloons cover the jobs where a full arrangement would be too much. One balloon tied to a bouquet, three beside a cake, a number for a birthday without twenty latex balloons crowding around it.
The other reason is assembly. Ready made sets follow the palette the shop chose. Buying individually lets you build a bunch around a particular room, a dress, or a company's own colours.
Size drives lift
Diameter affects lift directly, and in a single balloon purchase that shows up far more starkly than it does inside a prepared set.
- Twelve inch latex, around thirty centimetres, is the standard for bunches.
- Eighteen inch latex and above works as a solo statement.
- A forty centimetre foil number barely flies. A metre tall one holds its position confidently.
- Anything under twenty centimetres will not lift on helium at all and is filled with air instead.
Which leads to a simple conclusion for a one balloon purchase. A single small balloon on a ribbon looks like an afterthought. A single large one reads as a gift in its own right.
Building your own bunch
Three rules cover most of it, and none is more complicated than the equivalent in flower arranging.
Odd numbers look composed and even numbers look counted: three, five, seven. The same principle floristry has used for centuries.
Colours go in proportion rather than in equal shares. The dominant shade takes about half, the second a third, the accent whatever remains. Three colours in equal parts read as accidental.
Mix finishes deliberately. Matte pastel latex, chrome and a clear confetti balloon sit well together. Three different metallics in a row simply merge.
One considered balloon lands better than ten chosen at random.
Lifespan and transport
Untreated latex holds helium for roughly eight to twelve hours, and an internal coating extends that. Foil runs for days and stores between uses.
A single balloon is far easier to move than a bunch. It fits a lift, clears a doorway and does not catch the wind like a sail. For delivery around Dushanbe that difference is real, particularly on a windy afternoon.
Tie the ribbon to a weight straight away. A released balloon does not come back, and it is the one irreversible loss in this category.
JFLOO sells balloons both in sets and individually. Buying one at a time makes sense wherever precision matters: one colour, one size, one detail standing next to the main gift.
