Large tulip bouquets in New Jersey: one count, many names, one basket
Large tulip bouquets in New Jersey mostly share one count: 101 stems, sold under several names. Only the Basket of 151 Tulips goes higher, and it needs no vase. So the choice starts with bouquet or basket, then a name and a photo.
101 tulips or a basket of 151: how to choose
Florists treat the tulip as a mass flower, usually one bloom per stem, so a bouquet's name often carries its stem count. Here 101 stems appear under several names: Lollipop, Jusy, Snow, Mixed and Tender Tulips Mix. Each name marks a different bouquet, and the photo on the page is the guide.
For fewer stems there is 51 Tulips "Random" No. 2; for more, the Basket of 151 Tulips needs no vase at all. Every bouquet is put together to order, and a photo goes to the sender before the courier leaves, so a detail can still be changed before dispatch.
Keeping a large tulip bouquet in a vase
Tulips like cold water, with the vase filled to about a third: deep, warm water softens the stems and lets them bend. After cutting, a tulip keeps growing by a centimetre or two a day and leans toward the light, so a large bunch shifts shape over a day or two. Turning the vase once a day keeps it even.
Cut each stem at an angle, strip any leaf below the waterline, and keep the vase away from radiators, sun and fruit.
Delivery time is shown on each bouquet's page; see the delivery page for more. A stand that needs no vase sits among the flower baskets, and other flowers in the same format are in other mono bouquets.
