Roses at 150 cm in New Jersey: what the names say and how to check the stems
150 cm in New Jersey roses appear under several names, but only one, Tall Country Roses, names the height itself. The others describe Dutch roses, one of them white as well. Because the section sets the length, the name is worth reading for origin and colour, while stem quality and shade are confirmed on the photo sent before the courier leaves.
Keeping metre-and-a-half roses fresh in the vase
Cut the stems at an angle with a sharp knife or secateurs as soon as the roses arrive, and strip away any leaves that would sit below the waterline. Change the water every one to two days, and keep the vase away from radiators, direct sunlight and ripe fruit, which gives off ethylene. Looked after this way, a rose usually lasts about a week, sometimes closer to ten days.
How extra-long-stem roses are made up and delivered
Each bouquet at this height is made up to order, and the florist buys the flowers only after payment clears. A photo of the finished arrangement goes out before the courier leaves, and changes can still be requested then. If a rose isn't in stock, the florist swaps it for one close in shade and price, visible on the same photo. Delivery is free in the city centre, and the exact timing for this bouquet shows on its card; zones and rates sit on the delivery page.
