5 roses in New York: French-style, a named variety or plain red and white
5 roses in New York: three of the six five-rose bouquets in the grid are labelled French — not a variety but a florist's technique of turning back the outer petals by hand. One bouquet names an actual variety, Naomi, and two stay plain: red and white. With the stem count fixed at five, the choice comes down to finish and colour.
Colour still carries the old shorthand of Victorian flower language, though guides disagree with each other. Red was read as passionate love, pink as a gentler affection, white as purity — but no single list exists.
Is five a good number of roses to give?
In Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and most of the former Soviet Union, odd numbers of flowers go to the living and even numbers to a grave, so five counts as odd. Elsewhere a dozen is the more usual count, so this distinction matters mainly for recipients from these countries.
How five-rose delivery works
The bouquet is made to order: florists buy the flowers only once payment clears. A photo goes out before the courier leaves, so changes can still be made then. The card that comes with it is free and can stay unsigned. Most orders arrive the same day the order is placed, with the exact term shown on the bouquet's page. When there is no address to give, a phone number for the recipient is enough.
For another count or variety, the full roses section has more choice, mono bouquets suit a single flower kind, and terms are on the delivery page.
