Tulips with delivery in Warsaw: varieties, the Polish spring, and 8 March
In Warsaw, spring begins with tulips and with a single date — 8 March. Dzień Kobiet, Women's Day, is marked with flowers here like almost nowhere else: men bring tulips to colleagues, partners, and mothers, and within a couple of days the city is in bloom. By April the spring beds in the Saxon Garden, Łazienki Park, and along the Vistula boulevards fill with bright plantings. Here a tulip isn't a routine office bouquet — it's a sign that winter has retreated from the Masovian plain.
The category includes single-variety bouquets from 11 to 51 stems, mixed spring arrangements, and gift boxes with tulips and companion flowers — daffodils, ranunculus, anemones. The Polish spring warms unevenly, with cold snaps returning, so the tulip season here is concentrated — March to May — and timing of delivery matters.
Which varieties to choose

- Strong Gold — golden-yellow, a classic tulip on a tall, even stem. A bestseller for 8 March orders; pairs well with white and greenish spring arrangements.
- Red Impression — deep red, large bud, a very sturdy stem. Suited to large single-variety bouquets from 25 stems.
- White Dreamland — pure white, slightly matte. Neutral and elegant, good in mixed spring bouquets.
- Purple Flag — rich violet. A popular choice for those looking for colour beyond the red-yellow-white palette.
- Queensday — pink-and-orange bicolour. A decorative group, with a slightly fuller bud.
- Black Hero — deep dark-purple, almost black, a double tulip. An unusual choice for modern interiors in Śródmieście and Wola.
Occasions and seasonality
The tulip is the flower of the Polish spring. Dzień Kobiet (8 March) is the year's main peak for it: demand for tulips on those days is higher than for any other occasion. Earlier, in January, come Dzień Babci and Dzień Dziadka (Grandmother's and Grandfather's Day, 21–22 January). Then Wielkanoc (Easter) in late March or April, and then Dzień Matki, which in Poland always falls on 26 May. For offices in Śródmieście, tulips in vases are routine from February to May.
Tulips are given as single stems less often than roses — formats of 15, 25, and 51 stems are more typical. For 8 March, multi-colour armfuls are especially in demand: several shades in one bouquet read more vividly than a single colour.
Freshness and logistics
The tulips in our catalogue are Dutch in origin, from the Aalsmeer and Royal FloraHolland auctions in Naaldwijk, via European hubs and the Bronisze wholesale flower market on the edge of Warsaw. An overnight refrigerated truck along Europe's motorways delivers a batch to Warsaw in about 14–16 hours under deep chilling (+2…+4°C); the tulips arrive in closed bud. Opening happens at the recipient's — standard practice that extends freshness on display.
An important point for the Warsaw climate: on warm, sunny spring days, tulips open noticeably faster. For a large event order, take delivery the evening before rather than the morning of the event, especially when warm weather is forecast.

Delivery specifics in Warsaw
Warsaw sits on the Masovian plain, around 100 m above sea level, on both banks of the Vistula. The climate is transitional between maritime and continental: winters are cool, around −4…+1°C and down to −15°C in frosty spells, with snow possible from December to February. Summers are warm, +24–28°C and above +32°C in heatwaves. Spring warms unevenly, with cold snaps returning, and sunny warm-ups can speed tulip opening.

Care at home
Tulips keep growing in the vase — that's their quirk: stems lengthen by 3–5 cm after going into water. Cut at a 45° angle, remove the lower leaves, change the water every day or two — tulips are very sensitive to bacteria in the water. A cool room temperature of +15…+18°C extends their life to 8–10 days.
Don't add anything extra to the water — aspirin and a copper coin work worse than clean cool water changed regularly. On warm, sunny days, keep tulips in the coolest room and move them to the refrigerator overnight to slow the buds opening.
