Mono bouquets in Abu Dhabi: winter tulips, hydrangea and flowers that last
In 2023 the Netherlands shipped the UAE around 1,900 tonnes of cut flowers, the second-largest supplier by weight after Kenya, and Dutch glasshouses force tulips into bloom from December through May. Mono bouquets in Abu Dhabi are chosen by flower first, and by how long each one needs to last.
Tulips, hyacinth and ranunculus from December to May
Dutch tulip stock is forced into flower between December and May: growers hold the bulbs through an artificial winter in cold storage, then bring them on in a heated glasshouse. Tulips have their own single-variety section here, and that window is roughly when a tulip mono bouquet is easiest to order. The same spring run brings hyacinth, narcissus and ranunculus into the catalogue, with layered ranunculus petals reading as one dense colour per stem; lilac follows in May, once the bulb season has passed.
A narcissus bouquet needs its own bucket of water for about a day before it joins anything else, and it then stays out of a shared vase with tulips, since narcissus sap shortens the life of whatever stands next to it. Abu Dhabi's winter runs mild from December into mid-March, as covered in flowers in Abu Dhabi.
Hydrangea heads in blue, white or pink: a few stems are enough
Large-headed flowers need only a handful of stems to read as a full bouquet, and one variety on its own holds together as a single cloud of colour rather than a mix of shapes. Hydrangea makes the point clearly: a few heads in blue, white or pink already fill a hand, wrapped in plain kraft paper or gathered loose as an armful with no vase underneath.
Colour is the whole decision with a flower like this, since one variety in one shade carries the bouquet on its own, with no second kind to balance against it. Before hydrangea goes to a hospital room, it's worth knowing that many wards don't accept fresh flowers at all.

Mono bouquet delivery in Abu Dhabi: hydrangea or a two-week stem
Hydrangea drinks more than most cut flowers, taking up water through its petals as well as its stem, which matters for a bouquet built from nothing else. A limp head goes head-first into a basin of cool water for an hour or two, never longer than four or five.
For a stem that holds without that kind of attention, chrysanthemums, dianthus (carnation), alstroemeria and a cut orchid all last two to three weeks in water. On chrysanthemums the leaves yellow before the flower fades, so they're worth stripping off as they go.
Delivery works the same way across the catalogue: each mono bouquet is put together after the order is placed, a photo goes to the sender before the courier leaves, and most orders reach the recipient the same day they're placed. How soon a given bouquet can go out is shown on its own page.

Choosing a mono bouquet in Abu Dhabi is mostly a question of calendar and patience. Ranunculus and hydrangea work when colour matters more than vase life, while alstroemeria is the safer choice for a bouquet that needs to outlast the week. The delivery terms page covers timing and zones for whichever one you order.
