Summer bouquets in Belek: peonies, alstroemeria and vase life
Summer bouquets in Belek pair a peony that fades fast with alstroemeria that barely does: named after Clas Alströmer, a pupil of Linnaeus, alstroemeria holds two to three weeks in a vase against five to seven days for a cut peony. The grid holds both, from a Bunch of 35 Peonies to 13 Mixed Alstroemeria. Choose a short, showy peak or a colour that lasts longer.
Which flowers make a summer bouquet
In the northern hemisphere, peony opens summer, then hydrangea and sunflower follow. Alstroemeria is a greenhouse flower, cut year-round.
Peonies come close, though not quite: Europe cuts from late April to June, Alaska through summer, Chile from October to December. A peony is on offer almost all year, but not all year. If a flower runs out, the florist swaps it for one close in shade and price, and the photo taken before the courier leaves shows the change. See peonies.
How long summer flowers last in the vase
Peonies are cut at the marshmallow stage: the bud is coloured, closed and gives slightly when pressed. In warm water and daylight it opens within 24–48 hours, then holds five to seven days with daily water changes, kept cool and away from sunlight and fruit.
Alstroemeria keeps going for two to three weeks. Both need the same care: cut stems at an angle and strip leaves that would sit under water.
For several kinds together rather than one, see mixed bouquets. Delivery time is shown on each bouquet's page, and most orders are delivered the same day — see the delivery page.
