Weddings and events: a section about installation, not bouquets
This section differs from the rest because it concerns work on a site rather than a present. A wedding, a milestone celebration, a corporate event or a photoshoot all require planning: measuring the space, agreeing installation times, and understanding how the result will look in photographs.
The order of operations changes accordingly. The venue and the schedule for the day come first, and flowers come afterwards.
What preparation covers
- The venue. Dimensions, ceiling height, lighting and rules about fixings.
- The schedule. Installation, the event itself, and removal.
- Zones. Ceremony, tables, photo corner, entrance, each with its own job.
- Palette. Agreed with textiles, tableware and outfits rather than chosen in isolation.
Outdoor decor is planned around weather. Wind, heat and rain change not only how arrangements look but whether they can be installed at all.
Many venues restrict installation hours and forbid fixings on walls. Establish those rules before a design is agreed.
How the work runs
Discussion starts with a date and a venue, since those determine nearly every decision that follows.
Zones are then ranked. Budgets rarely cover everything, and doing two areas properly beats doing five nominally.
The photo corner usually takes priority. It produces most of the pictures and outlives the rest of the decor.
Removal is planned as carefully as installation, since a venue is normally handed back the same night.
A single contact on the client side simplifies the whole day. One person able to decide on site saves more time than a detailed plan on paper.
Agree a fallback in advance. Rain, a late venue handover and a changed table layout happen more often than any initial design assumes.
At an event decor lives for hours and in photographs for years. Set priorities from the second.
Practical notes
Fresh flowers outdoors in heat need floral foam and protection from direct sun.
Assembly on site takes time, and that time belongs in the schedule as its own line.
Confirm site access in writing, including arrival and unloading times.
If installations cross Bodrum on the day, plan the route and the timing with margin.
