White is the honest flower on any shelf, and in a resort town that matters more than usual. A white petal shows everything: transport creasing, browned edges, the grey cast that comes from a cold room. Red hides all of it.

Which makes white roses in Kemer both the most demanding thing we sell and the most useful thing you can look at. If a shop has flawless white buds in August, the rest of its stock is fine too.

The three mistakes that come up most

First, booking the handover for the middle of the day in summer. A Mediterranean climate with hot dry summers is unforgiving at two in the afternoon on an open promenade. We ask people to move it to the morning or after sunset.

Second, choosing stem length from a photograph. Ecuadorian roses up to 120 cm look magnificent in a picture and behave badly in a hand, especially if the recipient then walks along the seafront. Imported stems at 50-90 cm are the sensible middle.

Third, ordering without recipient details. Beldibi, Göynük, Kiriş, Çamyuva and Tekirova take 2-4 hours, and without a guest name and room number the bouquet stops at the hotel desk.

You cannot rescue a white rose with wrapping. You rescue it with the hour of the handover and the length of the drive.

What winter does to white

Winters here are mild and wet, and that brings a different problem. Damp sea wind settles on the petals, and on white it leaves translucent marks that do not lift. In winter the wrapping is protected from rain and wind, and we keep the bouquet in open air no longer than necessary.

The upside of the season is real: cool air extends vase life. The same bouquet that gives you four days in July will hold for a week in January with no special effort.

• Summer: morning or evening, shorter stems, water fixed to the stems in transit.
• Winter: protection from rain and wind, and noticeably longer life in the vase.
• All year: check white stock in daylight before you take it.

What white gets ordered for here

Proposals by the water are almost always white or cream. On sunset photographs white holds its shape while red collapses towards black. Hotel weddings follow the same logic.

The second steady occasion is one you only see in resort towns: thanking hotel staff. A white bouquet reads as neutral, with no personal subtext, which is exactly right for someone you have known for a week.

What we build it with

Lisianthus and alstroemeria both work well here. They handle heat better than the rose itself and hold the shape of the bouquet once the roses start to open. Orchids add density but ask for care in transport.

Durable greenery in a summer bouquet is not there for volume. It is there for shade: dense foliage shields the buds from direct sun in the first hours, and you see the difference on day two.

Ordering, in practice

Delivery runs 9 AM to 10 PM, 60-120 minutes across the centre and the marina. Payment by bank card, transfer or cash to the courier in TRY, with EUR or USD by arrangement.

If the bouquet goes to a hotel, give the guest name exactly as it appears on the booking. In resort hotels the passport surname and the name in the system are not always the same, and more time is lost there than on the road.
