101 tulips in Madrid: a bouquet that keeps growing in the vase
A cut tulip keeps growing, about one to two centimetres a day, and bends towards the light, so 101 tulips in Madrid change shape within a day or two. With the stem count fixed, the choice left is tone and presentation; the flowers are bought for the order once it is paid.
101 tulips: one tone or a mix
Some names in the grid say mix outright, one is named Snow, and others give no hint of colour at all. The first choice is one tone or a mix.
A name alone will not settle that: the bouquet is photographed before dispatch, and that photo shows the exact shade. Replying with a request to change something still works, since it's arranged before the courier leaves. A different stem count sits among the other tulip and mono bouquets.
Keeping 101 tulips in a vase
Cold water suits tulips better than warm, and a vase filled to about a third is enough: in a deep, warm vase the stems soften and bend. Turning the vase daily keeps it growing straight, since stems reach for the light.
Cut each stem at an angle, clear away any leaf that would sit underwater, and change the water every day or two. Keep the vase away from radiators, direct sun and ripe fruit.
An order can be placed for a set date, and the earlier it goes in, the more slots are open. The delivery slot shows on the bouquet's page, with more detail on the delivery page. For a larger arrangement, armfuls are the alternative.
