Same day delivery in Paris: roses made today, as far as Neuilly

Neuilly-sur-Seine touches the 17th arrondissement, with only the Périphérique and the Bois de Boulogne between them, yet same day delivery in Paris lists it as an outer district, priced apart from the centre. A same-day order starts with the address, and with what a florist can actually put together before it leaves the workshop.

Roses, a basket or a cylinder a Paris florist can make up today

Roses carry most of what can be put together before dispatch, counted from eleven stems up past a hundred and running from white through pink to red. Eleven White French Roses keep the count short and the parcel compact, a safe choice for a first order. 101 Red Roses is the large red-rose option. Bush roses carry several smaller heads on a single stem, for more colour at the same length, and the tallest stems suit a bigger room or a hallway table.

Bubble Peony Roses trade the usual pointed rose head for a rounder, layered shape, a softer look for a recipient who finds a sharp-edged bouquet too formal for the day.

A designer basket or a cylinder arrangement answers the one question a florist cannot ask in advance: whether the recipient owns a vase. Both stand on their own in water and need nothing from whoever opens the door. A bento cake can travel in the same order as either, and the gifts to go with a bouquet cover what else can go in alongside the flowers.

If a variety has sold out that morning, the florist swaps in something close in shade and price, and the change is visible on the photograph sent before the courier leaves.

Same day flower delivery in Paris: an inner arrondissement, Neuilly or La Défense

Delivery inside the centre of Paris costs nothing, and the rest of the city falls into two priced zones. The 9th to the 12th arrondissements sit in the nearer of the two, and Neuilly-sur-Seine, for all it borders the 17th across nothing wider than the Périphérique and the Bois de Boulogne, sits in the farther one. A buyer picks the zone while placing the order, the price is added to the total before payment, and the courier is never handed anything extra at the door.

La Défense lies in the commune of Puteaux, and like any address outside the listed zones, it has no fixed price on the page. A manager checks the route and quotes a figure before payment is taken, and the same applies further out in the suburbs. Each price covers one address, so two recipients in two different arrondissements make two separate deliveries, not one order split between them.

Night deliveries run by prior arrangement rather than a published timetable, and how soon a particular bouquet can leave is shown in its own card, with the zones and their fixed prices set out on the delivery page. Hotels and hospital wards follow their own small rules, covered under hotel and ward handovers.

Paid first, bought for the order: a Paris bouquet made today

Paris florists buy flowers from wholesalers at the Rungis cut-flower pavilion. For a same-day order the sequence at JFLOO runs the other way round: payment comes first, and the flowers for that particular bouquet are bought only once the order is confirmed.

A manager checks the address, confirms the flowers are in stock and fixes a time with the sender. Before the courier sets off, the finished bouquet is photographed, and that photograph is the moment to ask for a change: one more stem, a different wrap, anything the florist can still fix before leaving the workshop.

The sender hears twice more after that, once when the bouquet is with the courier and once when it has been handed over. Most same-day orders in Paris are delivered on the day they are placed.

A box for the concierge, a hand-tied bouquet for the landing

The recipient is not called in advance unless the sender asks; the exception is a building that cannot be entered without a call, where the courier rings from the intercom at the door rather than from the street.

If nobody answers, the courier waits up to fifteen minutes and tries the recipient's phone. With still no answer, a manager calls the sender, and only with the sender's agreement does the bouquet go to a concierge or a neighbour; the courier reports exactly who took it in.

A basket or a box needs no vase on the landing, which suits a concierge desk or a neighbour's hallway table just as well as a flat. A hand-tied bouquet in kraft paper suits a recipient who opens the door personally. Either way, the handover can move to a later hour the same day if the first attempt does not land.

A set minute, a dinner booking or a change before dispatch

Arriving at an exact minute is arranged directly with a manager, for a small fee named before it is added to the order. A restaurant delivery works the same way: the time is agreed with the maître d', and the bouquet is timed to land with dessert or with the toast.

An order can still be changed once it is placed, right up until the bouquet leaves the workshop and no later than six hours before delivery: the date, the slot, the address, the recipient or the card text. Cancelling costs nothing before the flowers are bought, loses their price once they are, and is not possible once the bouquet is already put together.

The earlier the order is placed, the more free intervals remain.

A quick way into same day delivery in Paris starts with the flower itself: roses cover most of what can be made up before dispatch, from a short count to a hundred stems. Where a vase is the uncertain part, flower baskets and flowers in boxes stand on their own, and a mixed palette is easiest to find among the designer bouquets.
