Balloons by color in Rotterdam: one shade or a pair
Balloons by color in Rotterdam open with a simple choice: one shade or a pair. Several items carry two colours in the name — "Black Gold", "White and Gold Tones", "Pink and White", red hearts paired with black balloons — while others stay in a single tone, like the "Pink" fountain or the silver number balloon. A single-tone set like that is a monochrome scheme, shades of one colour rather than a mix.
The palette covers white, red, pink, gold, silver, grey and black. Gold balloons and black balloons each open their own selection, handy when a pair already points to one half of the combination.
Latex or foil: how long the helium lasts
The section mixes both materials. The Helium Latex Balloon Happy Birthday! is latex, while the Heart Foil Balloon and the Foil Balloon Gold Number are foil. Latex is porous, so helium works its way through the surface, and without any treatment a latex balloon floats for about half a day; heat makes it lose lift faster still. A foil balloon seals the gas in far better and keeps its float for several days.
Balloons can be added to the basket alongside any bouquet, and the card message that travels with them costs nothing extra. A good place to start is the bouquets section, then pick a colour or a pair to go with it.
