Gold roses in Sri Lanka: cream tones, counted stems and a photo check
A preserved gold rose takes its colour from dye added to the glycerine solution that replaces its sap, yet none of the gold roses in Sri Lanka carry that name: four are called cream and one, "Monotone", names no colour at all. The warm gold tone is checked on the photo the florist sends before the courier leaves, and any change can be requested from that photo before dispatch.
Choosing gold roses: stem count, tall stems or an armful
The count runs in three steps: 7, 15 and 35 stems. "Tall" appears only at 15 and 35, so stem length only matters at those two sizes. An armful is a different format rather than a stem count, closer to the armfuls line, and "Monotone" is the one name here without a stated colour.
A different stem count can be requested directly: message the florist with the occasion, and a photo with the price comes back before payment. If the exact shade is unavailable, the florist substitutes a close tone and price, and the swap is visible on the photo.
Cut, a rose lasts about a week, sometimes up to ten days: recut the stem at an angle straight away and change the water every day or two. A preserved rose lives one to three years, but this grid holds cut flowers only.
Start with all roses for the full range or an armful for a looser shape, and check delivery for how it arrives — the exact speed shows in the bouquet's own card.
