New Year gifts in Washington: Christmas or New Year, and what to send
Two of the three names in this grid already pick a holiday: Christmas Tree "Happy Christmas" and New Year Box No. 1. New Year gifts in Washington for someone in Russia or a former Soviet country go with New Year, 31 December into 1 January, not Christmas on 25 December. The right choice starts with which calendar the recipient keeps, and the format follows from that.
Christmas or New Year: whose calendar the gift follows
Western Christmas falls on 25 December. Novy God, the turn of the year from 31 December to 1 January, is the main winter holiday across Russia and the former Soviet countries. Orthodox Christmas follows on 7 January, and Old New Year arrives on the night of 14 January, kept informally. Together, those two later dates push the sending window well into January. Box of 15 French Roses names no holiday: "French" here is a technique, not a variety, the outer petals bent back by hand.
Sending a New Year gift for a set date
An order for a chosen date and time is accepted in any zone, and booking early leaves more slots open. The florist sends a photo of the finished gift before the courier leaves, so you can still ask for changes before dispatch. The gift card comes free and can carry a message or stay unsigned; without a street address, the recipient's phone number is enough. The delivery slot for each item shows in its own listing, and the delivery page sets out the rest.
The wider New Year compositions range covers other formats, and a sweet or a toy from gifts to go with bouquets can join the same order at checkout.
