Decorative candles in Buenos Aires: from an Advent wheel to a gift with flowers
Long before decorative candles in Buenos Aires were sold beside bouquets, a Hamburg pastor in 1839 set small red candles for weekdays and large white ones for Advent Sundays on an old cartwheel rim. Children counted the days to Christmas by them, and the wreath later shrank to four candles. A candle is still a gift for an occasion, and here it travels with the bouquet in the gifts to go with flowers.
Choosing a candle to go with the bouquet
The section holds two formats: single gypsum candles and a set of heart-shaped candles. Some are hand-shaped, one holding a cinnamon stick, another a pinecone, and each name shows whether the candle is scented. The Heart Candles Set and the Hand-Shaped Scented Candle in Gypsum with Cinnamon suit most occasions, and the heart set fits a romantic one.
Sent with the flowers, in one order
A candle travels in the same basket as the bouquet, as part of one order. The free gift card can carry a message or stay unsigned, and the courier is given only the recipient's name and address, so a candle can arrive anonymously. Payment is by Visa or Mastercard, and the total in the basket is final, with nothing more to pay on arrival.
A good place to start is a bouquet from Bouquets or the wider Gifts to Go With Bouquets section, with the conditions for both set out on the Delivery page.
