Strawberry bouquets: one gift running on two clocks

The floral side tends to be roses, lisianthus, gypsophila and chrysanthemum. That is a working choice rather than an aesthetic one: those flowers accept cool storage and do not shed petals every time the box is tilted.
Put a berry in the arrangement only if you would eat it yourself without hesitating. No other standard is useful here.
When it is the right gift
It reads as an invitation to an evening rather than a formal congratulation. Birthdays, anniversaries, a reunion after time apart, an apology for a forgotten date. In an office it often misfires, because there is nowhere to rinse the fruit and no comfortable way to eat it in front of colleagues.
Two things are worth checking in advance. Strawberries are a common allergen, and chocolate coating is exactly the kind of thing a recipient on a strict diet will quietly leave untouched.
