Mimosa worldwide: a winter acacia for 8 March, in a bunch or a basket
Mimosa worldwide is Acacia dealbata, flowering from January to March, with French growers stretching the cut season from November to March. Two formats sit in the grid, a bunch and a basket, and the choice depends on where the flowers are going and the day.
Mimosa for 8 March: a winter flower and when to order
Mimosa is a traditional flower for 8 March. Italy made it the symbol of the day in 1946, since by early March the plant already flowers across the country and costs little.
8 March is the busiest day for flower orders here, so delivery slots run wider than usual and no courier promises an exact minute. Ordering a few days ahead leaves more of those slots open. Orders are taken around the clock, any day and hour.
A bunch or a basket of mimosa
A bunch suits a vase at home; a basket, such as the Spring Mimosa Basket, stands on its own. Each one is put together to order, with the flowers bought only once payment clears.
A photo of the finished bunch or basket goes out before the courier leaves, so a change can still be requested then.
A bunch kept at home needs the usual care. Cut the stems at an angle with a sharp knife, strip any leaves that would sit under water, and change the water every day or two. Keep the vase away from radiators, direct sun and a bowl of fruit.
Two links help from here: other single-flower bouquets for other seasonal blooms, and flower baskets for the basket formats. Each bouquet's page shows its own delivery window, and the Delivery page explains the rest.
