Chocolates worldwide: from Japan's giri-choco to a bar beside a bouquet
Chocolates worldwide are a gift with a long etiquette elsewhere: in Japan women give chocolate on 14 February, giri-choco to colleagues and honmei-choco for love, and men answer on 14 March, White Day, introduced in 1978 by a confectionery association. Here it serves the same purpose, a small thank-you. In the United States and Canada, Administrative Professionals' Day, the Wednesday of the last full week of April, brings cards, flowers, chocolate and lunch.
Chocolates on their own or with a bouquet
Chocolate can be ordered on its own, no bouquet required, or added to a bouquet alongside sweets, balloons, a soft toy or a vase, picked in the cart. The card message is free and can be signed or left anonymous. The courier is told only the recipient's name and address; the sender's details go to nobody. No address on hand — a phone number for the recipient is enough. See gifts to go with bouquets.
What warmth does to chocolate on the way
Cocoa butter melts at 34–38°C, just under body temperature. Chocolate that melts and sets again without retempering turns whitish on the surface: the fat has recrystallised, not spoiled. Delivery to the city centre is free, most orders reach the recipient the same day they are placed, and the exact window shows on the item's card — see the delivery page.
To start, choose a bouquet from roses and add a bar in the cart, or send chocolate alone with a card.
