Stuffed toys worldwide: plush, handmade and rose bears with flowers
The section's Coral Bear Made of Eternal Roses is made of real roses whose sap has been replaced with a glycerine-based solution, so the petals stay soft and flexible rather than brittle like dried flowers. Stuffed toys worldwide sit in the same grid as bunches of flowers, and the first choice is what the toy itself is made of: handmade, plush or roses.
Handmade, plush or made of roses: what the toys are
The section holds toys made three different ways. Handmade pieces, such as the Handmade Bear with Heart, are stitched by hand. Plush toys, like the Large White Plush Bear, are plush right through. The Coral Bear Made of Eternal Roses is neither of those: it is built from real rose heads whose sap has been swapped for a glycerine-based solution, which keeps each petal soft instead of letting it dry out and turn brittle.
The teddy bear itself took its name from Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt in November 1902, the same year the German company Steiff brought out its own bear.
Character sets the tone here. Basik Cat comes dressed three ways: with a bowtie, in a hoodie or in a sweatshirt. Mii Bunny wears a plaid dress, a sandy dress or a pink dress. Unicorns appear in three versions, two handmade and one plush, and the Handmade Kitten Figurine rounds out the list of characters.
Size is written into the name rather than hidden in the description. The Mini Handmade Bunny is the smallest of the bunnies, the White Plush Bear M sits in the middle, and the Large White Plush Bear is the biggest bear in the section. Choosing between them comes down to which outfit and which size suit the person it is for.
What a rose bear is made of and how to keep it
A rose bear such as the Coral Bear Made of Eternal Roses starts as real rose heads. Once cut, their sap is drawn out and replaced with a glycerine-based solution, and the colour is added into that same solution rather than applied on top afterwards. The result is neither plastic nor a dried flower: the petals keep their shape and stay soft to the touch, and a bear like this lasts from one year to three.
Because the colour lives in the solution, it fades if the bear sits in direct sunlight, so an indoor spot out of the sun suits it best. The petals are never watered or misted, and the bear is kept away from damp rooms and from heat. Dust is lifted off with a soft dry brush or a puff of compressed air.
Adding a soft toy to a bouquet
A soft toy is added in the cart alongside balloons, sweets or a vase, next to the bouquet it will travel with. A card is included free of charge, and it can carry a signed message or stay anonymous.
Every bouquet is put together to order once the flowers for it are chosen. Before the courier leaves, a photo of the finished bouquet goes to the sender, who can still ask for a change at that point.
Stuffed toy delivery worldwide is free to the city centre, the timing shows in the bouquet's own card, and the delivery page covers everything else.
The recipient is not called ahead of time unless the sender asks for it, and the courier works from a name and an address, nothing more. Where no address is known, the recipient's phone number is enough to arrange the handover.
Payment is taken by Visa or Mastercard, and the total shown in the cart is final once stuffed toy delivery worldwide is confirmed.
The simplest way in is a bouquet from flowers or roses, then a toy added in the same cart: handmade, plush or made of roses. Zones and timing for the whole order are on the delivery page.
