7 roses worldwide: an odd number and how to choose the seven
7 roses worldwide are an odd count: in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and most of the former USSR, odd numbers go to the living, even ones to the memory of the dead. Elsewhere a dozen is the usual gift, so seven stems suit either reader, and the choice comes down to colour and finish.
Which seven: colour, variety and a sprig of eucalyptus
Red reads as passionate love in Victorian flower dictionaries, pink as a softer feeling and white as purity, though the lists disagree, so treat colour as a hint rather than a rule.
French roses aren't a variety: a florist reflexes the outer petals by hand for a fuller bloom. Jumilia's bud reaches up to seven centimetres, white at the base and pink at the edge, and with good care it lasts up to two weeks in a vase, against about a week for an ordinary rose. Peony roses are usually English varieties bred by David Austin, or similar.
Eucalyptus works here as filler between the rose heads. Seven French roses in a box needs no more than its name.
7 roses delivery worldwide: what happens after you order
The bouquet is put together once the order is placed, and a photo arrives before the courier leaves, so anything can still be adjusted.
The card is free, and you can sign it or leave it blank. Delivery to the centre costs nothing, and most orders reach the recipient the same day; the window is on the bouquet's own page, with more on the delivery page.
Start with the whole roses selection to compare colours, or pick seven in a box if the bouquet needs to travel.
