Succulents worldwide: plants that carry their own water, sold under glass
Succulents worldwide store their own water: in some fleshy organs, water can reach nine-tenths of the mass, and every plant here — stone rose, sedum, haworthia, Hobbit — is such a store, sold under glass. Everything in this range is a florarium, so choice comes down to the plant and the glass.
What makes a succulent, and which ones sit under the glass
A succulent keeps thickened, fleshy leaves or stems that hold water through dry spells. A waxy, hairy or spiny surface, with fewer pores for breathing, slows evaporation. Most succulents grow in hot, dry regions, though some come from the mountains, and roughly a third of all species are native to southern Africa. This section holds stone rose, sedum, haworthia, Hobbit and Hobbit jade, each a water store rather than a botanical label.
Glass, water and delivery
Succulents and cacti do better in an open bowl than behind closed glass: a sealed terrarium builds its own damp cycle, suited to moisture-loving plants, not water stores. Watering here means a light spray from a bottle, not a pour. Before the courier leaves, the florist photographs the florarium and sends the picture, so changes still reach it in time. Most orders go out the same day, with the exact timing on the product card, and delivery to the centre worldwide is free.
Beyond the florarium, see bouquets or dried flowers; delivery terms are on the delivery page.
