25 peonies worldwide: ordering the exact count, and when peonies are in season
No item in the grid is exactly 25 peonies worldwide: there is a bouquet of 21 stems, and 51 stems made up as a bouquet, in a basket, in a box or in a cylinder. An exact count of 25 is something a florist puts together after a message in chat, building the bouquet from scratch and sending a photo with the price before payment is taken. Flowers are bought in for the order once it is paid, the finished bouquet is photographed before the courier sets out, and that photo is the point to ask for any change.
When 25 peonies are in season
Peonies are around for most of the year, though not for all of it. In the northern hemisphere, cutting in the Netherlands, France, Germany and the UK runs from late April into June. The southern hemisphere fills the gap the other way: Chile cuts from October to December, and Australia and New Zealand from October into November and on through their summer. Alaska adds a later window, from late June to August, and European growers stretch their own season with cold storage.
Once cut, a peony holds in the vase for five to seven days with a little care. Water is changed daily, the stem end is recut, and the bouquet stays somewhere cool, away from direct sun, heat and fruit.
Peonies worldwide beyond the 25-stem count are worth a look in the full peonies range, and flower baskets suit anyone who wants the flowers to arrive without needing a vase. How the bouquet reaches the recipient, from photo to handover, is on the delivery page.
