Flower baskets by size in Dubai: reading scale off a product page
A product shot fills the frame. There is no cup beside the arrangement, no book, no chair back, and the light is set so the outline stays clean. A desk version and a floor version end up looking almost identical on a screen.
People order by impression and get their surprise at the door. It is the single most common thing that goes wrong with a basket.
The only reliable line on the listing
The stated dimensions are the part worth reading. Everything else on the page is styling.
Take the number and put a familiar object next to it in your head: a kettle, a dining chair, the height of a bedside cabinet. That comparison takes a moment and it is more accurate than any amount of looking at the photograph. If the arrangement is going somewhere you have never been, ask the question rather than estimating, because the person at the other end knows what their table is.
Scale mistakes tend to run one way. Buyers order larger than they need, since size does not register on a screen and a bigger figure feels like a better gift, and the result stands in a walkway for a week. A mid-size basket is often the one that works, because it still lifts with one hand and already reads from across the room.
Four addresses cover most of the baskets we deliver, and each has its own ceiling on size:
- A desk in a DIFC office, where the arrangement shares the surface with a screen and a phone.
- A reception counter, which takes something wider but not taller.
- A hotel room in Downtown, Marina or Palm Jumeirah, where a floor arrangement rarely has anywhere to go.
- A home in JBR or Business Bay, the one case where a large basket can stand beside a chair or in an entrance and stay there for its whole life without anyone having to move it.
Getting the size to the door
Then the address sets the limit.
Delivery runs 2 to 4 hours, and a large basket adds handling at both ends of that. It is loaded flat and carried by the base, since a woven rim is not a handle. It does not go into a lift alongside a courier as easily as the dimensions suggest. Nobody drags one along a floor either, because a wide woven base catches and leaves a mark. On the big sizes we ask for extra lead time, and we ask who is going to be standing at the door.
Summer sets the rest of the terms. At up to 40 °C with coastal humidity every arrangement travels in insulated packing and none of them waits in the sun, and a large foam base takes longer to cool than a small one before it goes out.
Orders start at 250 AED, paid by Apple Pay or in cash to the courier, and we deliver from 9 AM to 10 PM.
Composition follows the diameter as much as the occasion does. Roses hold structure at any size, tulips and chrysanthemums from UAE greenhouses sit well in desk formats, and Dutch peonies out of season go into the larger builds where they have room to open.
