Funeral flowers in Dubai: four formats and what each one is for
Colour is the easy part of this order, since white carries almost any case and asks nothing of the sender. The confusion is nearly always about shape. Each format is built for a different place in the room and a different viewing distance, and picking the wrong one is more visible than picking the wrong flower.
The wreath
A wreath is a closed ring on a stand, made to be seen from a distance and from the side. Its outline and the evenness of the packing are what carry it, and a gap in the ring shows from across a room while a fine individual head does not. Lettering on the ribbon has to read at the same distance the wreath itself reads from. We size the text to the piece rather than to the message.
"People send us the wording and ask for it to be as full as possible. The question we ask back is where the stand will be, because that decides how many words fit."

The basket and the table arrangement
Both sit on a flat base and go on the floor beside the coffin or on a surface nearby. Nothing about either needs a vase and nothing tips over in a draught, which matters in an air conditioned room. The base goes wider than the top so the piece can be moved during the service without being rebuilt afterwards.
The standing spray and the sympathy bouquet
A standing spray is a one-sided piece on a tall tripod. It fills vertical space and earns its place when floor space is short, which in a busy room is most of the time.
A sympathy bouquet is the odd one out. It is hand tied, wrapped and sent to the family rather than to the ceremony, often once the funeral itself is over and the house has gone quiet. Size stays moderate, since it gets received in a doorway by somebody who has been receiving things all week.
That last one arrives when the room has emptied.
Getting it there in Dubai
Funeral flowers in Dubai travel the same routes as everything else we send, and delivery takes 2 to 4 hours across Downtown, Marina, JBR, Business Bay, Palm Jumeirah and DIFC. We run 9 AM to 10 PM. For this occasion we fix the hour rather than the window, because there is nothing to rearrange if the piece is late. Families travelling in often stay at Address Downtown, Four Seasons or Atlantis The Palm, and a sympathy bouquet to a hotel is arranged with the property before the van leaves.
Every wreath, basket and standing piece is built on foam soaked all the way through. A block soaked in a hurry keeps a dry core, and the stems pushed into that core wilt hours ahead of the rest of the work. In summer, when the day reaches 40 °C with coastal humidity behind it, the piece travels insulated and never stands in the sun.
Dutch roses at 60 to 90 cm cover basket and table work, Ecuadorian roses up to 120 cm go into the tall pieces where that length is actually used, and UAE greenhouse chrysanthemums carry the mass because they stay presentable long after roses have softened at the neck.
Orders start at 250 AED, with payment by Apple Pay or cash to the courier.
Tell us the age and sex of the person who has died, who the flowers come from, and where and by what hour they have to arrive. If you cannot confirm the venue yourself, send the funeral director's number rather than an address alone.
