It holds more, it costs less to put together, and it survives a warm car without complaining. There is exactly one thing it cannot do, which is arrive looking like a bouquet. Almost all the value here sits in the handover. So the question worth answering before you order is whether the recipient will enjoy the theatre of it. Somebody who will thank you politely and put the whole thing in the fridge is better served by a basket and a card. A tomato rotates on its skewer. A cucumber splits along the puncture. Salad leaves tear under their own weight the moment they are asked to carry anything. The build has to answer all of that at once: dense items low and near the centre, light ones out at the edge, and a stiff card or foam core inside taking the load that the paper collar cannot. Then there is the honest test. The finished arrangement should stand on a table on its own, without being propped against a wall or held by somebody's hand. Anything that fails that test arrives at the far end in a different shape than it left in, and a photograph in a chat window will not tell you which of the two you are buying. #### What this city does to the format Deliveries run 2 to 4 hours. With summer air at 40 °C, the box carries insulated packing, stands upright the whole way, and never waits in a parked car while the courier goes up to another address. Cut faces darken in open air and warmth speeds that up, so we build these on the day they are given rather than the night before. Offices are where most vegetable bouquets in Dubai end up. In DIFC and Business Bay the joke lands with the whole room at once, the arrangement needs no vase, no water and no windowsill, and by the time the recipient has said thank you three people are already asking how it was made. Hotel addresses are the weak case. A room has nowhere to take the arrangement apart and nothing to cook it with, so the object stands on a desk until the guest gives up on it, and everything that made the format good becomes a small problem for the person who received it. For an address at a hotel we build smaller and leave out anything that cannot be eaten straight from the skewer. Carrying it is worth one line of instruction. Both hands, from underneath, never by the paper collar, which is decorative and tears along the edge under this much weight.
