Dried flowers in Phuket: the order that is never urgent
Fresh flowers are tied to a date. They are ordered for a morning, they are at their best for a few days, and after that it is over. Dried stems sit outside that timing altogether, and that single fact explains most of how this material behaves on a florist's shelf.
Nothing in this section is urgent.
A dried arrangement can be bought weeks before it is needed and put in a cupboard until the day. Nothing about it will move in the meantime, so a present for a date you might otherwise forget can simply be dealt with early. It is also the sensible material for anything with a long build-up: table pieces, a wreath for a door, decoration for a party people will spend two days setting up. None of that has to be assembled at the last moment or timed to a delivery window. Nobody has to be at the address at a particular hour either, which on an island of rented villas is worth more than it sounds.
The reverse case deserves saying as well. If the whole point of the gift is that the flowers arrived this morning and are at their peak right now, dried stems will not carry that, and fresh ones should.
Dried flowers in Phuket are the easiest thing we send anywhere. Delivery along the west coast takes 90 to 180 minutes, with separate windows for villas, marinas and airport routes, and we work from 9 AM to 10 PM. On a wet afternoon in the rainy season from May to October this is the one format where a slow run costs nothing at all. Orders start from 2200 THB, and payment goes by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PromptPay, bank transfer or cash in baht.
Four lines in the order:
- Where the piece will stand: shelf, table, wall or floor.
- How much direct sun that spot gets.
- Natural shades or dyed.
- Whether it can be delivered early. Almost always it can, and a piece accepted a fortnight ahead settles the question of who will be at the villa on the day itself.
What the material is, and where it will not live
The stock is grasses, statice, lavender and honesty, cut in season somewhere with a field and stored dry, along with roses, which darken by two or three tones in the drying and keep the shape of the bud. Anything with a thick, water-filled petal never appears here at all, since it collapses into a crumpled film instead of holding its form.
Two conditions matter and everything else is invention: a dry vase, and a position out of direct sun. In a climate running at 25 to 33 °C with high humidity behind it, a bathroom or an open terrace is the place to avoid.
Colour is the other thing to settle in advance. Natural shades come out of a particular harvest and shift a little between one order and the next, while dyed stems are even, slightly flat and the first thing to fade once daylight reaches them.
That constraint is also the reason this material is worth ordering ahead rather than storing at home. A box kept closed keeps its contents intact; the same bunch standing in a damp room for a fortnight does not.

Send us the date you want it to arrive and the earliest date you would accept it. Where those differ we use the earlier one, and the piece stands in the room well before anyone starts thinking about the occasion.
