Small flower baskets in Phuket: the occasions that call for this size
Three situations account for most of the small arrangements that leave our workshop. A thank you, an apology, and a visit to somebody who is not well. None of the three is improved by scale, and two of them are actively damaged by it.
A thank you works best when it is proportionate to what it is thanking someone for. Send something enormous for a small kindness and the gesture stops being warm and starts being awkward, because the recipient now owes a response. An apology has the same arithmetic running the other way: volume reads as an attempt to buy the argument rather than end it. A small arrangement says the thing and then gets out of the way, which is what both of those messages need.
"A guest wanted the biggest thing I had, to say sorry. I asked what the argument was about, and we sent something that fits on a bedside table instead."

The third case is purely physical.
Where somebody is recovering, whatever surface is available is already shared with a jug, a phone, a charger and whatever they brought in with them. A compact base earns its place on that surface and a wide one does not, however good it looks. There is also the question of who moves it, since the person it was sent to may not be the person doing the lifting. Small arrangements need nobody's help. That is the whole argument for them in that setting, and it is enough on its own.
There is a fourth case that comes up more here than elsewhere. Somebody already has flowers, because they arrived on the first day of a stay and are still standing on the table. A second large arrangement in that room competes with the first, and neither of them wins.
A small one finds a shelf instead. It reads as a separate thought rather than as a correction of somebody else's gift.
The gift that travels with its owner
Airport arrivals and short stays are the local version of this. A guest here for a week can carry a small basket in one hand from the car to the room, then to the next room, then home, and the arrangement arrives in each place in the condition it left the last one. Nothing has to be unpacked and nothing has to be found for it. That is a real advantage for anybody moving between a resort address and a villa, or leaving in a few days.
Along the west coast delivery runs 90 to 180 minutes, covering Patong, Kata, Karon, Kamala, Surin and Bang Tao alongside Phuket Town, Rawai and Chalong. Villas, marinas and airport routes run on separate windows. We work 9 AM to 10 PM.
From May to October the rain adds time to a route, and a small basket travels closed for all of it. Humid air at 25 to 33 °C is on this format's side, since a small block of foam gives up water more slowly here than it would in a dry climate.
Orders start at 2200 THB, with payment by bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PromptPay, bank transfer or cash to the courier in baht. Thai orchids hold their form longest in this size and chrysanthemums close the rim so no foam shows from above. Imported roses go in cut short, where each head is seen from a distance of about a metre.
Small flower baskets in Phuket are the right answer more often than people expect them to be. Tell us the occasion and where the recipient is staying, and if the situation genuinely calls for something larger we will say so rather than sell you the smaller thing twice.
