Rain and hill traffic add time to a delivery here, and a basket is the one format that does not mind. The stems already stand in soaked foam, so an extra hour on the road costs the flowers nothing at all. Small cluster heads take the jolting better than wide open blooms, which is the second half of the same advantage.

Weather on the route
The rainy season runs May to October, and we add route time for it as a matter of course. Evening traffic on the hill roads does the same thing without any help from the weather. Neither one troubles an arrangement that carries its own water. Heat is the slower risk, since at 25 to 33 °C with humidity on top the foam gives up water faster than it would in a cooler room, and that bill arrives after the delivery rather than during it.
Deliveries along the west coast sit in a 90 to 180 minute window, and villas, marinas and airport routes get windows of their own. Orders start at 2200 THB and the workshop runs 9 AM to 10 PM. Payment goes by bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PromptPay, bank transfer or cash to the courier in baht.

After it arrives
The central bloom of each cluster opens first and finishes first. Cut it out at the base of its own side branch with scissors instead of pulling it, because a pull shifts the whole stem in its channel and breaks the seal against the foam. The side buds then open faster and the arrangement holds its look for several more days.
Everything else is water. Pour a thin stream at the rim until the surface stops taking it, and check with a fingertip each morning at the edge of the container, where damp foam springs back and dry foam crumbles under the nail. In an air conditioned room the block dries from the top down while the street outside stays humid, so the fingertip beats any schedule.
The stems went into water at assembly, and that part was never the recipient's problem.
Dry side shoots inside a cluster are the other thing worth a glance. We strip them at the bench, because two days later they read as brown specks sitting right at eye level on a table.
Where they end up on the island
Three addresses account for most of what leaves the bench in this shape.
- A resort birthday, where the room holds no vase and the guest has no scissors.
- A dinner by the sea, where the arrangement has to stay under the sightline across a table.
- An airport arrival, carried in somebody's hands from the terminal to the car.
Imported roses arrive by batch, and the spray types go into the bowl with tropical foliage covering the foam along the rim. Hydrangea or a seasonal peony joins them when the build needs a second scale beside all those small heads. Thai orchids belong to a different shape of arrangement and we say so when somebody asks for them in a low basket.
What the format will not give you is one large flower on a long stem. Anniversaries and small weddings occasionally want exactly that, and a different composition does that job better.
