Raspberry and magenta bouquets in Phuket: ordering without surprises
This shade travels well on the island, which cannot be said of everything we send. Delivery along the west coast takes 90 to 180 minutes across Patong, Kata, Karon, Kamala, Bang Tao and Surin, with separate windows for villas, marinas and airport routes. A dense cold pigment holds through that trip, where a pale one would show every hour of it. What the road does instead is open the heads.
Air at 25 to 33 °C with high humidity turns a tight bud into a wide flower quickly. On the longer routes we start with flowers less open, which is the only way a berry bouquet arrives looking the way it left the workshop.
During monsoon showers from May to October and in evening hill traffic we add route time. Rain reaches the paper long before it reaches the flowers, and wet wrapping on this colour streaks visibly. The box stays closed until it is indoors.

Orders start from 2200 THB. We work 9 AM to 10 PM. Payment goes by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PromptPay, bank transfer or cash to the courier in baht. Villas and marinas take their own slots, and we confirm those on the morning of the delivery.
The island material covers the shade properly. Imported roses give the matte quiet version, chrysanthemums break the tone into fragments along their fringed edges, Thai orchids put it into a long stiff spray, and hydrangeas add cool mass that lowers the temperature of the whole bunch.
Ordering without surprises
The photograph in a catalogue is taken under even studio light, which flattens the difference between a matte and a glossy petal. In a room that difference comes straight back. A bouquet built from chrysanthemums arrives louder than the picture suggested, and one built from roses arrives quieter. Neither result is wrong and both are avoidable. Say which flower should lead rather than naming the colour on its own.
Three lines in an order remove nearly all of the surprise:
- The leading flower, since roses read as restrained and chrysanthemums read as bright and cheerful.
- The date the bouquet has to look its best, because heat here decides how tight we cut.
- Whether cold white and dark foliage are welcome, which settles the wrapping at the same time.
Warm colours belong in none of these bouquets. Peach, salmon and warm cream sit on a yellow base, and against a cold berry pink that base greys along every join.
Red is the other one to avoid.
Both colours are dense and close in lightness, so side by side neither of them leads and the red simply looks scorched. A phone camera pushes the two together further still. When both have to appear, one takes over half the volume and the other drops to points below it.
Magenta bouquets in Phuket go mostly to resort birthdays and to friends, where a loud tone is welcome. The same bouquet at a formal occasion reads as too personal, and for anything sombre it is out of the question.
Fresh stems in this group last around a week to two, given clean water, a fresh angled cut and no fruit bowl nearby. In a warm room count on the shorter end of that and choose roses, since a thicker petal holds shape and colour longer than a thin translucent one.
