Baskets with daisies in Phuket: warmth without weight, and how the week ends
Some gifts need the recipient to react. This one does not, which is most of the reason it gets sent.
A daisy carries no message anybody has to interpret. White petals and a yellow centre say the thing and stop, and that suits a whole class of occasions where a rose would say too much and a formal arrangement would say too little.
Orders start at 2200 THB and we deliver 9 AM to 10 PM, in 90 to 180 minutes along the west coast, with separate windows for villas, marinas and airport routes. Payment goes by bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PromptPay, bank transfer or cash in baht.
"The best of these go to people you will see again next week. Nobody has to say anything about the flowers, and that is exactly the point of them."

The occasions it suits
A recovery. A school event. A colleague you like and do not want to make a speech about. A neighbour, a teacher, somebody who did you a favour and would be embarrassed by anything larger.
Three of those come up here more than the rest:
- a birthday marked at work in Phuket Town, where the gift stands on a shared counter all day
- a thank you to a villa manager or a host at the end of a stay
- a family date where children are in the room and the flowers should be recognisable to them.
Small weddings are where we usually steer people elsewhere. The palette is right and the scale is wrong, since a low bowl of daisies disappears against everything else happening at a ceremony.
How it finishes
Spent heads come out with their stems rather than being trimmed at the top. The empty socket then gets covered with a leaf, because the foam no longer feeds that point and an open hole in the block dries the area around it faster.
A fresh stem pushed into an old channel gains a day at most.
The channel has been worked open, its walls no longer close around a stem, and water does not reach the cut. This catches out people who have kept the bowl and want to extend it with something from a market, and it is worth knowing before the attempt rather than after.
The rest of the arrangement carries on regardless of any of that. Daisies fade unevenly, so one head goes over while the ones beside it look untouched, and taking out the finished ones as they appear keeps the bowl looking deliberate for several days longer than leaving them in would.
That uneven ending is worth mentioning when the basket is a gift. People read a single collapsed head as a sign the whole arrangement has failed and put it out, when what it actually needs is that one stem pulled and a leaf laid over the hole. We say this at the door for exactly that reason.
Climate and the drive
At 25 to 33 °C and in humid air these travel well. The petals are stiff, they do not mark from handling, and the block keeps working the whole way, which is more than can be said for anything wrapped in paper. From May to October the rain and the evening hill traffic add time to the route, and we build that into the window we quote.
Baskets with daisies in Phuket arrive assembled, handed over at the door. Decide where the bowl is going before it gets there, because a soaked block is heavier than the weave suggests and nobody wants to be carrying it around a villa looking for a surface.
If the arrangement has to last a full stay rather than a few days, say so with the order. We will build it on the branching type, which carries several small heads per stem and opens them in turn, so the bowl is still worth looking at at the end of the week.
