Baskets with irises in Phuket: decide the surface before the size
Think about where the arrangement will actually stand before thinking about the flowers in it. An iris basket goes to places on this island that a vase never reaches, and that, far more than the colour or the count, is what the format is for.
The four addresses these go to
A hotel room in Patong, Kata, Karon or Kamala is the clearest case. The guest has a desk, a bedside table and no interest in acquiring a vase for a stay of a few days, and a rigid basket stays exactly where it is put on either surface.
An office or a shop in Phuket Town is the second. The recipient is at work all day, the arrangement has to survive a weekend with nobody touching it, and irises help twice over here, since they carry almost no scent and a closed room with the air conditioning running is no place for a flower that fills the air.
A villa somebody has just moved into is the third, where the kettle has been found and nothing else has. Bang Tao, Surin, Rawai and Chalong send us most of those.
The fourth is an airport arrival. The basket gets handed over at the terminal or delivered ahead to the room, and in both versions it has to look right without anybody assembling anything, which is precisely what an arrangement built on a soaked block does.
Four answers shape the build:
- Which surface it stands on, and how wide that surface is.
- Whether it is handed to a person or left in a room before anybody arrives.
- How many days it has to hold up for.
- Whether the recipient is a resident here or leaving at the end of the week.
The last two together decide the composition more than the occasion does. For a short stay we build the irises further open, since the whole point is that the arrangement works on the days the guest is actually in the room. For a resident we send them closed and let the basket do its own opening over the following days.
Blue and violet read quietly, which is why this format goes to business addresses here as often as to personal ones.
Getting there is the usual island arithmetic. Along the west coast delivery takes 90 to 180 minutes, covering Patong, Kata, Karon and Kamala together with Phuket Town, Rawai and Chalong, while villas, marinas and airport routes run on separate windows because the approach is often longer than the drive. From May to October the rain adds time and the hill roads add more of it in the evening, so we build that into the slot instead of quoting one number all year.
Humid air at 25 to 33 °C keeps the block working longer than it would in a dry climate, which is one reason these arrangements suit an office nobody is looking after.
We deliver 9 AM to 10 PM, orders start at 2200 THB, and payment goes by bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PromptPay, bank transfer or cash to the courier in baht. Thai orchids continue the vertical line above the irises and outlast everything else in the basket, imported roses give a dense round head beside them, hydrangeas fill width, and tropical foliage closes the rim.
"Senders describe the occasion and leave out the room. The room is what decides whether the basket is still standing in the same place on Friday."

Baskets with irises in Phuket are worth ordering with the room named and the length of the stay mentioned. Those two answers set the stage of the buds and the width of the build, and everything else on the order form follows from them.
