Festive bouquets here are built over tropical foliage, and deep green is an unforgiving background. It swallows anything muted.
Powder pink and pale peach look delicate on their own and turn grey the moment they sit against dark leaves. White, cream, deep red and true burgundy keep their edges in the same company. Gold and copper detail earns its place for a related reason, because it catches light instead of reflecting it flatly.
Dark green is not a neutral.
Which flower carries which colour matters more than the palette drawing suggests. Imported roses hold the deep end, red and burgundy above all, and they keep their shape under a firm tie. Chrysanthemums cover cream and white and outlast everything else in the wrap. Thai orchids draw a line of colour across a bouquet without adding mass, which is useful when the build is already dense. Hydrangeas give the large soft blocks of colour, and they are also the first thing to disappear against foliage if the shade is too gentle. Seasonal peonies read warm rather than bright, so they sit better beside cream than beside red.
Density is the other half of the same question. If the decoration is the first thing you see from three paces, there is too much of it, and the flowers have become dots inside a wrapped object.

Where the bouquet is seen
Light on the island decides more than it does indoors. A dinner by the sea at Kata or Karon happens under warm low light, where cream and white lift and pale pink vanishes. A resort birthday at Bang Tao or Surin usually happens in a bright lobby or restaurant, where the same bouquet reads two shades cooler.
Airport arrivals are their own case, since the bouquet waits in a hall under strong overhead light and then travels in a car. We build those tighter and lower, and we lean on colours that survive being seen from a distance.

Air here stays between 25 and 33 °C, so a wrapped bouquet opens faster than the same build would in a cooler month elsewhere. We cut it slightly tighter in December for that reason, and we keep the box closed until the handover.
The rainy season runs May to October, which puts New Year outside it. Evening traffic on the hill roads is the constant here. We add time for that in every month of the year.
