Thirteen roses in Phuket: the shape that survives the road
Thirteen heads close into a dense, properly round top. It still travels in one hand, which is the last count in the range where that holds, and a courier can carry it up a flight of villa steps without changing grip. On an island run that matters more than it does across a short city drive.
Ask for calibrated heads at this size. Thirteen blooms of the same grade hold the circle, while a mixed batch leaves the outline lumpy, and on a closed round shape that shows from several paces away. What the weather adds to the run
The island has a humid tropical climate, usually 25 to 33 °C, with rain from May to October. During monsoon showers and evening hill traffic we add route time before quoting a window. A dense dome copes with both better than an airy build does, since less of its surface sits exposed.
The west coast window is 90 to 180 minutes.

Villas, marinas and airport routes get separate windows, because access to them runs on its own clock. The vase at the other end
The vase wants a neck about the width of a palm. Squeeze thirteen stems into a narrow one and the dome stretches into a column, with several heads pinned by their neighbours and opening unevenly on one side. Width matters more than height at this count. A rented villa kitchen may hold nothing broader than a water jug, which is no substitute. A hat box with floral foam removes the question altogether, since the stems arrive already standing in water.
Between twelve and fifteen the difference in diameter is barely visible. If the figure itself is a problem for the person receiving it, move to fifteen and put the difference into stem length instead. Nobody across a room will see which of the two arrived.
