Fruit and flower baskets in Bali: say what should still be there tomorrow
One sentence at the point of ordering does more for this format than any conversation about varieties. Say what you want left standing on the table the following day, and the build follows from that answer without another decision being needed.
If the answer is an arrangement, ask for a flower led build and accept less fruit than the photograph suggested. If the answer is a full table for a group, ask for fruit led and let the stems do the framing. Those are the two useful briefs, and the person assembling it can work from either.
The halves are built as separate structures regardless. A liner, a low wall or a fitted tray sits between them, the flowers stand in their own vials or their own isolated block, and the edible side lifts out in one movement without disturbing anything above it.

The proportion also sets the hour
A fruit led basket wants a moment when several people are in the same room, because it is meant to be pulled apart while it is still cold from the workroom. Send it to an empty villa in the middle of the day and it spends its best hours doing nothing.
A flower led basket is far more patient. It will sit with villa staff or wait at a hotel desk without any harm at all, which makes it the right choice whenever the recipient's afternoon is unknown. It also survives the evening the food is eaten, because what stays behind in the bowl is a finished arrangement rather than a container with a gap in the middle of it.
Three things decide the hour we agree with you:
- Whether anyone is at the address to take it in.
- Whether there is cold storage within reach of that person.
- How far the basket is travelling on the day.
Seminyak, Canggu and Sanur sit in a 90 to 150 minute window. Uluwatu, Tabanan and the remote villas run up to 3 to 4 hours, and for a fruit led build that is close to the limit of what we recommend, so we cut the assembly time rather than the travel time and send it out later in the day instead.
Above 30 °C in high humidity we wrap firmly and add a cooling element, and the packing comes off as soon as the basket is set down. In the rainy season from November to March we add route time. Orders start at 650000 IDR, payment goes through QRIS, GoPay, OVO, DANA or cash to the courier, and hours run 9 AM to 10 PM.
Ocean villas and Nusa Dua hotels handle either version well, since staff take deliveries as a matter of course. The St. Regis Bali Resort, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, The Legian Seminyak and Alila Villas Uluwatu will all put the edible half into cold storage if the note asks them to, and that note is worth writing.
An Ubud dinner is the one case where fruit led wins outright. The basket arrives at a laid table, gets taken apart in front of everyone, and the flowers left in the bowl carry the rest of the evening.
Imported roses at 60 to 90 cm hold the body of a flower led build, with macrophylla hydrangea giving one large block where the bowl needs filling fast, and lisianthus and ranunculus covering the softer part of the scheme.
